About me
About me? Why would anyone want to read about me?
Oh well, I suppose I could write something… how about in the 3rd person? *cough* *cough*
“Stuclark, sometimes better known as Stuart Clark or Stu, has been involved in internet websites, forums and associated technologies for a number of years, starting back in the early 1990s and the days of Mosaic 1 and later Mozilla milestone 8.
Having traveled through the complex worlds of free webhosting, perl and HTML in the early days (when sites like Geocities & Angelfire still existed) Stu became heavily involved in forums packages, eventually acquiring the role of lead support person for UltraBoard, which is the basis for most forums packages currently available, including SMF, phpBB, IPB and vBulletin. Fame and no fortune soon followed and a number of websites launched by Stu still prove popular years after their natural life has ended.
Current projects include running numerous world famous websites, attracting over 80,000 visitors a month as well as running and working for a number of mobile phone websites, covering Symbian OS based phones and applications.”
Well, that’s a crock of crap isn’t it? (hey, one has to mix one’s metaphores occasionally) – Other than all that stuff, I work in IT support; still run a load of websites, as well as being an admin or contributor on others, plus I still play with steam engines at the fabulous Kew Bridge Steam Museum.
